Sex Glossary – Terms that End in –ING

Introduction

There are seemingly endless terms for sex acts and practices that are constantly being added and evolving. Today, we’re going to look at terms for sex acts and practices that end in –ing.

Cuckolding

Popular in BDSM play, cuckolding can also be seen as a form of humiliation play where a person in a relationship watches their partner get it on with someone else.

The “cuckold” may be subjected to this by either being in the room while their partner has sex with someone else or their partner may go out to find their pleasure and report back in intimate detail what they got up to under the sheets with someone else. Either way, humiliation is often the goal with this act.

Dry-humping

Usually occurring naturally when intensely making out and necking, dry-humping involves rubbing your clothed bodies, especially your genitalia, against your partner for sexual stimulation and enjoyment. The barrier of clothing can increase sexual stimulation and sensation on various erogenous zones on the body.

Felching

Felching is the sexual practice of sucking semen – yours or someone else’s – out of a body orifice like a vagina or anus.

It’s pretty self-explanatory but it usually involves an individual creampie-ing their partner either in the vagina or anus and then using their mouth to suck out their spunk.

*Note that this sex act comes with a higher risk of contracting an STI or STD so be sure to get yourself and your partner tested before going to town.

Figging

A possible component of BDSM and pain play, figging is the act of inserting a piece of peeled ginger into someone’s anus in order to induce a burning and stinging sensation, which may or may not heighten the receiver’s sexual pleasure.

This sex act allegedly originated as a form of corporal punishment not of a sexual nature – female prisoners in Ancient Greek and Roman times were supposedly subjected to this punishment depending on the crime they were caught for.

Fingering

As the name implies, fingering is the colloquial term to describe stimulating the vagina or anus with one’s fingers. It’s often a sexual practice employed as a precursor to penetration with something bigger like a penis or a dildo and can be categorized as a form of foreplay.

Fisting

Fisting, as the name suggests, is when one partner inserts their entire hand, which may or may not then be formed into a fist, into their partner’s vagina or anus if they’re feeling particularly adventurous and daring.

Fisting is not for beginners and is seen as a form of intense penetration. This means that a lot of preparation and foreplay needs to be had before the main event. The key is to go slow and use copious amounts of lube, and to check in with your partner to ensure they’re not feeling pain and too much discomfort.

Pegging

Traditionally associated with heterosexuality and a heterosexual sexual practice, pegging is the act whereby a woman dons a strap-on and anally penetrates her male partner.

The individual doing the penetrating is known as with the “pegger” or “top” while the person being penetrated is henceforth known as the “pegee” or “bottom”.

The switch in power dynamics that come with this sex act has brought with it some controversy and reluctance for some male individuals though the practice is more accepted and even desired nowadays. However, due to its traditional connotations of it being a “straight sex act”, some couples of varying sexual identities and genders prefer to refer to it as “strap-on sex”.

Queening

Also known as face-sitting, which makes the act pretty self-explanatory, queening is the act of sitting on someone’s face in order to sexually stimulate their genital organs. This can be achieved by allowing their partner to eat them out, give them a blow job, or just use their mouth, nose, and face to rub one out.

Some studies suggest that queening or face-sitting is an ancient sexual practice, with some tentative evidence of it being done all the way to Ancient Egypt.

Scissoring

Scissoring or tribbing – from the term, tribadism – is a sexual practice commonly associated with same-sex couples who identify as females and sport vaginas.

The act involves the partners rubbing their genitals against each other’s body parts (traditionally against the thigh as often seen in lesbian porn for the male gaze), creating an interlocking of legs that look like a pair of scissors.

However, as a general rule of thumb, using any part of your partner’s body to rub one out can also be defined as scissoring.

Squirting

Squirting, as the name delightfully suggests, is when an individual with a vagina ejaculates fluids during sex. Not much research has been done on this phenomenon, to the point where it’s still somewhat being contested on whether it’s fact or fiction. That said, what little research being done on this subject implies that the fluid, which is not urine (or perhaps not just urine?) partly comes from the female prostate known as Skene’s Gland.

It’s important to note that not everybody with a vagina squirts and those that do usually achieve this feat from clitoral and/or G-spot stimulation.

Tea-bagging

A more whimsical term on this list, tea-bagging is the sexual practice of dipping one’s testicles and scrotum into their partner’s open mouth – similar to how one would dip a teabag in hot water.

Tea-bagging is a form of non-penetrative sex and can be categorized as foreplay because the scrotum is an erogenous zone and highly sensitive to sexual stimulation. This is why many individuals who identify as male enjoy having their balls fondled, sucked on, and even tugged during a handjob or blowjob.
